Minkey Hockey ~ HookIn2Hockey at Sutho
Sutho is pleased to announce that our popular Minkey Hockey program will return in 2025.
The Minkey program is run on Friday afternoons from 4:30 pm –6.00 pm throughout school Term 2 and the first half of Term 3. This year Minkey will kick off Friday 3rd May and finish Friday 23rd August.
The cost will be confirmed soon… You may also be eligible to use the Active Kids Voucher with Sutho Hockey.
Minkey hockey is played at the Sutherland Hockey Club. You can find us at Tradies Hockey Park – 73 Sylvania Rd , Miranda NSW 2228.
What’s Minkey Hockey?
Minkey hockey – or mini hockey – is a program that introduces girls and boys to the basic skills of hockey through fun hockey-based activities. Minkey hockey across Australia is also known as “HOOKin2HOCKEY”
Our Minkey program introduces hockey to 4 to 9-year-old girls and boys. It provides a great opportunity for kids to learn and develop their hockey skills, with the added benefit of developing their social skills in small mixed groups.
Minkey introduces girls and boys to the basic skills and rules of hockey using fun activities in a social atmosphere. The program does not involve any actual teams or competition games.

What do we need?
Children will need to bring their own mouth guard, shin pads, water bottle and hockey stick to each session. If you don’t have a stick, we can provide one for the first session and assist you to purchase pre-loved equipment.

You can choose to purchase a Hookin2Hockey equipment pack if you register through the HookIn2Hockey website or by emailing support@hockey.org.au The pack includes: 1x Hockey Stick, 1x Hockey Ball, 1x Shin Pads, 1x Hockey Stick Bag. Please note that this is external to Sutho hockey. You can also purchase gear from other vendors (e.g. Decathlon, Rebel or Just Hockey).
