After a quick adjustment to landing on the other side of the planet, Belgium’s Red Panthers women squad hit the training field at Sutho this morning.
It will be a quick fine tune before they play the NSW Institute of Sport Women’s team at Sutho at 3.30 pm tomorrow in the lead-up to the Red Lions men against Australia A match at 5. 30 pm.
Swapping 3 degrees in the morning in Brussels for a steamy, sometimes rainy and 28 degrees at Sutho yesterday was certainly pushing a quick acclimatisation.
On the road
The Red Panthers are on the road playing in the FIH Pro League.
Next weekend they line up against Australia’s Hockeyroos at Homebush in a Saturday and Sunday double header.
Then they move on to Auckland for another two games against the Black Sticks women before the final leg in this part of the world to Changzhou in another double against China’s Snow Lotuses.
