The first of our world champion Belgian visitors looked pretty happy when they gathered at Brussels airport before their 24 hour flight to Sydney.
The men were scheduled to arrived at Cronulla very late tonight (Thursday) and will spend most of Friday coming to grips with jet lag and relaxing before getting into training at Sutho on Saturday.
The Belgian Red Panthers women’s team arrives next week.
If anyone at Sutho doesn’t know about it, the Belgian Red Lions will play Australia A at Sutho on Tuesday, 21 January at 5.30 pm, while the Red Panthers match up against the NSW Institute of Sport women at 3.30 pm. An historic day for our club and hockey in Sutherland Shire.
Skills clinic
And for our junior players, the Red Lions will be hosting a skills clinic.
The Kids Hockey Clinic on Sunday, 19 January, which is best suited to 9-18-year-olds, will run at Sutho from 10 am to noon, including time for any registrations.
Cost is $25 per player. This also includes a famed Sutho sausage sandwich and a drink. Numbers will be limited, so get in early: Register now
Thanks to Red Lions team manager Eric Pirenne for the pictures.
