Commo on the go
Hi Sutho fans, and sort of welcome to the season.
You couldn’t make up the start to our playing year. As we all know, it didn’t get going as scheduled on Saturday – thanks to COVID-19. Stay safe.
To make up for the lack of our first match reports, your editor went on a dig through Sutho’s pictures archive – all the way back to 2005 and 2004.
The photo evidence shows some club legends even had hair. Others had teenage years; check the shot of the Phillips kiddies.
Early exports
Three of Sutho’s earliest exports to Belgium hockey are featured: Adam Commens, now High Performance Director of the Belgian Hockey Federation (Commo was back at Sutho with the Red Lions in January); John Bessell, Performance Analyst at Club Brugge (Bruges); and Pete Mulcair, who had 10 years with the Royal Antwerp and Braxgata clubs.
With no on-field action until at least May 2, we’d like to keep the pictures coming. It’ll help us all get a necessary little hockey fix.
